Description Performance Indicators
  1. Manage the receiving, handling, Inspecting, distribution, storage and inventory control of all material that come in and out of the stores.
  • Up to date recordkeeping of daily transactions. (in / out / whom to issued / location of use etc.)
  • Number of Instances “material out of stock” reported.
  • Weekly reporting to PM / CM of material Stock status.
  • Up to date record keeping of all LPO’s issued for the project from the procurement department.


  1. Plan stores layout, prepare bin arrangement, Logistics plan and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage.
  • Ensuring that no NCN’s or site quality observations are received from HSE / QAQC department on the site stores management.
  • Maintain separate chemical / hazardous material store and register to ensure no safety incidents are reported.
  • Ensure no pilferages are reported.
  • Number of reports issued to PM / CM notifying excessive / idle materials lying in store for more than one month.


  1. Maintain quality of all incoming items, communicate all delays or variances in incoming items to the appropriate parties.
  • Total number of MIR (material inspection request) done at site and % with code A approvals in first inspection.
  • Number of instances anomalies reported to PM / CM in terms of quality issues or DO quantity variances.
  1. Maintain strict control on tools inventory.
  • Updating tools issue register on weekly basis.
  • Maintaining register of tools damage reported with employee name.
  • Ensuring tools / equipment’s are calibrated in timely manner and maintaining calibration register at site.
  • % of tools transferred to new sites in working condition.
  1. Supervise a team of stores employees, including delegation, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions.
  • Record daily manpower utilization to evaluate total Man-hours utilized for stores management for the project duration.



Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

Diploma in Engineering / Science  and related training in supply chain management and general accounting

Minimum Experience: 3 – 5 Years’ experience in MEP stores management in contracting companies.


Job-Specific Skills:

  • Computer Literacy and especially in MS office.
  • Writing skills and conversational ability in English & Hindi.
  • Familiar with warehouse best practices and policies and procedures implementation.
  • Good experience in warehouse management.


Behavioural Competencies :

  • Possesses effective communication and analytical skills.
  • Open minded and strong aptitude to work in site environment.
  • Accurate, superior written/oral communication and documentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of occupational hazards.
