JOB PURPOSE:

To provide analytical / commercial / Information support to FP&AM & Management team, to contribute to performance reviews / operational decision making and improvement plans in meeting the company profitability & financial objectives. Support growth and strategy.

Description Performance Indicators
Strategic Plan, Budget and Rolling Forecasts

 

Support BP&AM in the preparation of Strategic Plan, Budget and rolling forecasts

 

§  Adherence to agreed targets

§  Quality support and data to divisional management team

§  Accurate and structured reporting

MIS and Management reporting:

 

(a)   Preparation of monthly management reports and presentation for management board.

(b)   Reporting and analysis for brand including a strong KPI focus

(c)   Support BP&AM in divisional performance reviews and variance analysis

(d)   Co-ordinate and support Shared Services team in GL review and accounting related issues.

(e)   Review manage and check incentive schemes and payments

§  Accurate and structured reporting

§  Adherence to agreed timelines.

§  Produce quality performance review and recommendations.

§  Assist management in understanding financial metrics and the influences upon them

Working Capital and Cashflow

(a)   Review and advise BP&AM in all aspects of working capital planning by analyzing historical data and validating underlying assumptions

(b)   Review and Monitor Divisional / Branch level overdue and follow-up with the Divisional team for corrective actions.

 

 

§  Identify areas for improvement

§  Provide early warning signals

§  Continuous follow-up and update action initiated by business units.

Commercial Support:

 

(a)   To support and advise BP&AM in capex and project evaluation and prepare feasibility reports and post implementation reviews

(b)   Assist rents and leasing division directly with all aspects of accounting / financial analysis and policy development

 

§  Maintain historical database and analysis.

§  Exception reporting for corrective actions

§  Provide objective analysis and Recommendations

System and process Development

 

Advice and support BP&AM / AFSS and business units in system and process development for new initiatives and existing process improvements.

 

Become a SAP super user and a key project member in the proposed implementation of SAP BW

§  Possess process knowledge and SAP requirements

§  Co-ordination with STS/AFSS/ business to support process changes.

 

JOB CONTEXT: Define organizational policy and other factors that have a critical impact on the job
The job entails analytical and information support to business units in achieving the financial and profitability objectives. The job holder coordinates with the BP&AM and divisional senior management teams in delivering the above objectives. The jobholder will liaise and support AFSS team on a continuous and daily basis in interpreting the financial records and ensuring accuracy within the management information systems.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Degree in Accounting / MBA – Finance / Newly qualified Chartered Accountant

Minimum Experience: 5 years similar experience (at least 3 years audit experience)

Job-Specific Skills: Strong accounting knowledge, analytical, advanced systems skills in particular MS Excel and preferably in SAP, ability to manage and understand a large, complex, multi branded business, good communication skills and team player, ability to work off own initiative,

Behavioural Competencies: able to plan & prioritise tasks; initiative; self starter; strong team player, positive can do attitude. Ability to handle multiple assignments.
